Sime Darby Convention Centre, 16th November 2018- Malaysian CMO Awards 2018, the first inaugural event to recognize and acknowledge individuals who have made significant contributions and achievements in Malaysia’s marketing sector was organized by Marketing Magazine Asia. A total of 30 awards were given out, and Narishvin Sukumaran from Gameka was awarded the “Rising Marketing Star” under the Media & Entertainment category.

Since his addition to Gameka, Narishvin has made great strides in strengthening the company’s brand. His initiatives; ranging from generating significant client leads to bringing media attention to the company, branded Gameka as one of the leading game companies in Malaysia.

“This award is an accumulation of efforts from not just one person but all of us. This is a testimony of the hard work, dedication, and passion of the entire Gameka team and I am proud to represent the company today to receive this award. It’s never an “I”, it’s always a “We” said Narishvin.

Among the award winners, there were many notable individuals from large corporations such as Linda Hassan, Senior Vice President of Marketing from Dominos Pizza, Santharuban Thurai Sundaram, Vice President of Marketing from Etika Holdings and Mohamed Adam Wee, Group Chief Marketing Officer of CIMB Group.

The award-giving ceremony was held at the seventh annual Malaysian CMO conference, officiated by YB Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Communications and Multimedia of Malaysia. In addition to that, MARKETING magazine’s ‘Go Gobind’ book was also presented during the inaugural event. The book was published by Professor Harmandar Singh, it is a compilation of thoughts from more than 52 of Malaysia’s leading minds in media, marketing, advertising and digital to help drive the narrative of YB Gobind Singh Deo.

Digital Marketing Scholarships for all “Rising Marketing Stars”

There will also be a digital marketing scholarship for all six winners of the “Rising Marketing Star” of the CMO Awards. They will be sponsored to participate in the well-established EConsultancy UK’s Fast Track Digital Marketing training programme that has been running since 2011 with consistently high ratings over the years. This scholarship is a collaboration between ClickAcademy Asia and MARKETING Magazine Asia to further incentivize the next generation of marketing leaders to participate in the upcoming CMO Awards.

As one of the “Rising Marketing Star” winners, Narishvin will also be able to participate in this programme.
